Providing a top quality Service is so important to me, because your pet matters.
I love my job!
A little bit about me.
I began my journey with animals right from the day I was born. My childhood was always filled with animals, they made me happier than anything else! My school projects were always about animals, & I loved researching all about whichever animal I had chosen at the time.
I was 15 when I got my 1st job working with dogs & cats at a local kennel. It was a smelly & dirty job at times, but getting to spend time with the dogs & cats there made it all worth while.
When I was 18, I studied at University & achieved a HND in Animal Science in 2002. At the time I wasn't too sure at that point what I wanted to do with it. After getting the HND, I went to work in the care sector. It wasn't until a few years later that I was taking time off from work due to illness, that I met a lady who had a dog boarding/walking business locally. We became friends & I would join her when she walked dogs, it wasn't long before she suggested I should start up myself, with dog walking. I was excited & couldn't wait.
I quit my desk job & so was born "Fur & Nails Pet Services". Initially, providing a walking service, then added home boarding. I then went on to qualify as a dog groomer in 2012 & received a Welsh government start-up grant, which helped to pay for the equipment I needed.
I decided to train at Leahurst, over in the Wirral, to add Microchipping to my services also in 2012.
At this point now in 2022, I have been up & running for 12 years, & I still love what I do every day. Life just wouldn't be the same without animals around me.
Due to council rules, (UK wide) When I decided to start a family, I was no longer allowed to home board, until my daughter becomes 5 years old. It's been a tough pill to swallow, as I miss boarding customers' dogs in my home & treating them as one of my own, But I will hopefully in the future, return to be able to offer boarding again.
I work hard at what I do because I enjoy it so much. Providing Grooming for not just dogs, but cats, rabbits & guinea-pigs too.
I have microchipped many animals including dogs, cats & even Alpacas!
I believe there is always something new to learn about any job, so love to have in different breeds. I think the most interesting breed of dog I have had in was the Afgan Hound & a Sphinx cat. Microchipping the Alpacas was a real experience!
It's important to add, that I have my animal 1st aid certificate & all the relevant insurance's that are needed for this business, including on my vehicle.
My Dog had his teeth cleaned today, great job, it has made a noticable difference. I have already booked him in again as been very happy with the service and highly recommend.

Esther, grooms my Maine Coon and my Rag Doll cat, she does an excellent job, as not the easiest of customers to groom, as they dont like it at all, she is very patient with them, i would highly recommend Esther, 🙂

I can’t recommend Esther enough!! Really friendly, incredible communication and put us at ease. Our German shepherd Archie has never been groomed before professionally and he can get quite frustrated and nippy when he sees a brush 🙄 You’ve done a fabulous job and we had a happy boy back at home! thank you so so much. We will see you soon xx
